The East Midlands Centre for Neurobehavioural Rehabilitation at Warwick Lodge Information for professionals
The East Midlands Centre for Neuro-behavioural rehabilitation provides psychiatric treatment, specialist rehabilitation and support to men and women over 18 years who have behavioural and psychiatric disorders as a result of a brain injury. People with physical needs such as tracheostomy care, PEG care and wheelchair users can all be accommodated within the service. The centre is an independent hospital and accepts patients detained under the Mental Health Act.
Following admission the first 12 weeks are an assessment period which we spend getting to know your client and carrying out many different types of assessments. Following this period a detailed care and treatment programme is drawn up, always in consultation with your client and where the client wishes, with their family.
Our specialist team includes consultant psychiatrists, neuro-psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists and a general practitioner.
We encourage pre-referral and preadmission visits from families, patients, brain injury services, healthcare professionals and others. For further information about the referral and assessment process please contact the manager, Jacquie Owen at jacquieowen@castlebeck.com or by using the contact details below.
