Castlebeck Services

Castlebeck services have been progressively developed since they were introduced 20 years ago. In developing these services we have consulted widely with service users themselves, referrers, purchasers and regulatory agencies.

Through these helpful and productive discussions, we have been able to further understand the needs of the particular group of people who require services such as ours; and need high levels of care provision in environments which are as homely as possible; and which can facilitate the ongoing development of each individual service user and allow them to settle, progress and move back towards more community orientated provision.

Many of those who come to our services have struggled before in making the transition from more intense treatment environments, to more community facing services. So in addition to our Assessment and Treatment units, our ongoing Treatment and Rehabilitation centres, Graded Rehabilitation Annexes and Residential homes provide exactly that: the opportunity for more gradual, progressive, sustainable rehabilitation, towards less intense treatment environments. The separation of services is intended to support an individualised approach to the differing needs, hopes, abilities and expectations of service users and their families; as well as of those who refer to and purchase services from us.

The aim is to make each service userís care pathway appropriately graduated in order to facilitate their successful transition through levels of care.

Castlebeck is keen to support service users, ready to move on from our facilities, as well as enabling others who are ready to move to other parts of the UK to be closer to their families.

The combination of open environments, a unique evidence-based clinical model and a progressive care pathway will continue to assist service users to reach their optimum potential in appropriate levels of care.

Innovation through our SHARED Approach

The SHARED Approach is Castlebeckís unique model of care. It is a systematic way of providing Supportive Help Achieving Realistic Effective Development (SHARED). The process encapsulates the Care Programme Approach and Person-Centred Planning.
