Oaklands - services for older people

For some people challenging behaviour remains a means of expression and communication for much of their lives, necessitating long periods of specialist support in a range of settings. Other people can become physically frail or struggle with dementia or other conditions which deteriorate over time. Castlebeck provides Lifespan services, such as the one at Oaklands which help to meet these different needs.

The aim is to enable people to receive longer term healthcare and support alongside positive relationships and enhanced quality of life. Outcomes for an individual might include:

  • specialist support for long term health problems including dementia
  • continued support for challenging behaviour
  • continued focus on Person Centred Planning
  • continued access to community settings for leisure, work and learning
  • continued support to develop and maintain positive relationships
