New Developments
Castlebeck is proud to introduce its latest development, The East Midlands Centre for Neurobehavioural Rehabilitation at Warwick Lodge.
This new service supporting people with brain injury brings much needed psychological therapy, specialist rehabilitation and behavioural support to local patients.
The East Midlands Centre for Neurobehavioural Rehabilitation in Melton Mowbray, will provide separate accommodation for 15 men and women, including specially adapted rooms for people with physical disabilities.
Centre manager, Jacquie Owen says, "Many patients referred to the centre will have long term problems and some may have already undergone different forms of rehabilitation prior to referral, and some will have been treated out of area, a long way from family and friends.
"Castlebeck understands the importance of individual care pathways which result in each person achieving the most positive outcomes possible. This means that people with physical health needs such as tracheostomy care, PEG care and wheelchair users will all benefit from the service."
The centre accepts referrals from hospital brain injury units, psychiatric departments and other neuro rehabilitation services. The centre works closely with local consultants, case managers, solicitors and psychologists.
"We are happy to visit people where they are being treated at the moment and talk with them and their families about their hopes and aspirations, and help them consider whether Warwick Lodge may be a service that can offer a positive next step", says Jacquie.
