Where we Are - Scotland

Ranaich House

Castlebeck has extended its services in Scotland with the opening of Ranaich House in Dunblane.

This new development provides 13 en-suite bedrooms in its main building and a two-bedroom Graded Rehabilitation Annexe in the grounds. It joins Monroe House and Ellen Mhor in Dundee and Trinity House in Lockerbie which are Castlebeck’s existing Scottish units.

Ranaich House provides a rehabilitation service for people with a learning disability, challenging behaviour and complex needs.

The ethos is one of supporting progress. The aim is for people to move on at their own pace to situations where they are able to live more independently and with less intensive support.

The annexe is a part of that – it offers people the opportunity to move from the main building so they can experience more independent living in this two-person setting.

Ranaich House offers two day service rooms where residents can enjoy a number of educational and recreational activities through the day and evening, three relaxation lounges and a residents' kitchen where they can learn life skills.

There is a large garden for which there are plans to turn into allotments which residents can tend, and there will be a definite outdoor element to activities.

The setting is excellent for outdoor activities and the staff are very keen on providing as wide a range of pursuits as possible.

Castlebeck has fully refurbished the buildings to provide high quality and purpose-led accommodation for 15 people.
