Where we Are - Midlands
Arden Vale
Set in Meriden, in the West Midlands, Arden Vale is a purpose-built 25-bedroom independent hospital.
Arden Vale specialises in assessing, treating and supporting people with a learning disability and severe challenging behaviour and/or associated mental illness including those liable to be detained under The Mental Health Act 1983.
The building itself is divided into smaller self-contained living areas which are flexible and can be adapted to individual and group needs.
People living at Arden Vale can enjoy a multi-sensory suite which is within Arden Vale itself. They are also encouraged to progress along their care pathway in this safe and supportive environment through a range of activities and supported community access.
A seperate Graded Rehabilitation Annexe supports this progress for six service users giving them the chance to take further steps towards long-term community-based support.
Support from staff is available for all those living in the GRA when it is required, but service users are encouraged to live as independently as possible, taking responsibility for household tasks, accessing the community with support and gaining life skills.
Each person living at Arden Vale is very much treated as an individual with bespoke and individual solutions provided for their needs and wants.
