Where we Are - Scotland
Anoach at Monroe House
Monroe House, an independent hospital, offers tailor-made support for people with learning disabilities and complex needs, who challenge services. The core support is provided for men and women with high-end challenging behaviours and complex needs, including those liable to be detained under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003.
Monroe House specialises in offering commitment to individuals in a crisis, who have struggled to find appropriate support elsewhere. Excellent nursing staff and support workers provide high levels of specialist support to enable each client to stabilise their lives so they can move on to their next stage of rehabilitation. Castlebecks multi-disciplinary clinical team provides recognised and validated treatment programmes for these individuals.
There are three separate parts of Monroe House:
Etive - Assessment and Support for 14 people at Monroe House. Etive provides a safe and structured environment for the assessment, stabilisation and initiation of treatment for individuals with complex needs and behaviours that challenge, which cannot, at this point in time, be met in other less structured settings.
Anoach - Step down support for 12 people prior to them moving on to more community based living.
All bedrooms are en-suite and people are encouraged to individualise their own rooms. Living areas are welcoming and include homely lounges and dining rooms.
Corbett Lodge, in the grounds of Monroe House, provides a base for individualised programmes of educational, occupational, recreational and therapeutic activities, based on Castlebeck's unique model of care, the SHARED Approach, and our '24.7' system. Corbett Lodge's therapies and activities support people who live in both Etive and Anoach.
